As you know, or as you get to know me, the Huggins Family takes this sentiment seriously. While we all enjoy our freedoms, someone needs to stand up, take the oath and do what it takes to protect our freedoms. I'm proud of our family. From both Becky's and my Father (Both are Navy men), to Becky and myself, and now our children -- we all have done our part. Becky is an accomplished helicopter pilot (yes, I'd have to say she is better than I in this category) serving in the Army for 15 years. I served in the 82nd Airborne Infantry Division, am a Ranger and served as Special Operations in Viet Nam through Desert Storm. Chad, our oldest son and graduate from the University of Nebraska (Go Big Red), is a Company Commander at Fort Riley, Kansas. He has served in Iraq as an Explosive Ordinance Platoon Leader. (Any that saw the movie 'Hurt Locker' has a little idea of the stress and expertise in finding and disarming bombs entails.) Chad is currently in the process of preparing his Company for deployment to Afghanistan in December. Hallie, our favorite daughter, is one of the Army's newest AH-60 (Blackhawk) helicopter pilot (following in her Mom's footsteps!) Upon her arrival at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, GA, she, also, will immediately begin preparation for Afghanistan in December. Cody, our youngest, has graduated from West Point! He will be at Fort Benning, GA for Infantry Basic, Ranger School and Airborne School. When all of those are completed, Cody will be off to Fort Bragg, NC and the 82nd Airborne Division. Better known as the All Americans!
